I would like to share some information that people may not be aware of, which contributes to illness and disease. This is especially relevant for anyone who frequently gets sick or anyone looking for ways to help prevent illness and disease. Over recent decades, there has been a huge increase (in the thousands of percentages) in conditions such as chronic fatigue, autism, coeliac disease, bipolar disorder, diabetes, fibromyalgia, and more. There must be a reason for such a drastic rise in these conditions and overall poor health. So, we need to ask: what else has changed in recent decades?
First, the food has changed significantly. The amount of processed food and food containing sugar has increased massively! The chemicals in these foods can be very damaging to the body over time, and sugar has been linked to many illnesses, including diabetes and Alzheimer’s. The body misses out on vital nutrients when consuming this type of food instead of the nutritious options that are essential for health and survival. Wheat has been genetically modified, making it nearly impossible for the human body to digest. Vegetables are being sprayed with highly toxic chemicals for faster growth and longer shelf life, and meat is being pumped full of growth hormones, steroids, and antibiotics, which we are ingesting.
Many years ago, vegetables were cleanly grown, animals were raised in a healthy manner, and milk was consumed raw, providing great probiotics for the gut. Therefore, not only are we missing out on all the nutrition that used to be available, but we are also adding a multitude of chemicals on top of it.
Secondly, the items people have and use in their households can also contribute to health issues. Many of the products I’m going to list are significant hormone disruptors and contribute to fertility issues, along with various other health problems. These include fragrances such as fabric softeners, scented candles, skin and body lotions, fake tanning products, tap water, non-stick cookware, clothing containing heavy metals, toothpaste, cleaning products, and the overuse of medications such as antibiotics, which have been proven to significantly damage the gut. We continuously ingest toxic chemicals into our bodies, either by breathing them in or absorbing them through our skin. The EMFs and radiation from WiFi, phones, and other devices interfere with our brains and electrical systems. The recent overuse of these technologies is impacting our health as a whole, and many people may not realize it or have simply become accustomed to feeling frequently ill. While it may sound overwhelming, making small changes bit by bit can positively affect your health. Here are a few suggestions to help you get started: switch to organic or locally sourced vegetables and meat, buy bread from the bakery section, and read the ingredients on your food packets—many contain hidden names for sugar. Ideally, your food items should have only a few ingredients; if there are more, they’re likely filled with sugar and harmful chemicals. Avoid drinking tap water, as the chemicals in it can particularly affect the thyroid. Use cast iron or stainless steel cookware, choose deodorants that don’t contain aluminum, and opt for non-toxic cleaning products, washing powders, and dishwasher tablets. Additionally, switch to natural skincare and body wash products, and remember to turn off your WiFi at night. Small steps can gradually lead to significant improvements in your health.
